Everything's BIGGER in Texas

Wow I feel at home here! Everything IS bigger!

Today started out in the wee hours of the morning when normal people are still asleep.  Even Scotty and Chloe our four pawed co-habitators gave us a curious look.  We left on time and picked up my travel partner Steve at his house.

Steve was wide awake. In fact, I think Steve is always awake. I don't think he sleeps, at least not that I've seen.

At YVR I left behind a very angry Porter called Miguel. He felt that $5.00 was a reasonable rate to pick up my suitcases and carry them 10 feet to the check out counter. I disagreed and won because I'm bigger than Miguel. But now I feel lousy cuz maybe he had to buy medicine for his kids.  I'll overpay a Porter in Dallas to make up for it though.  They need the money too because everyone here thinks Obama is taking it all.

I've always found myself "tech" savvy. Keeping up on the latest etc etc. Then I met Steve my travel partner who is a walking Future Shop. I'm going to start calling him I-Steve cuz he owns every gadget known to man, and he's got it all packed with him.  He's got an Ipod, an Iphone, an Icloud, an Itablet, a regular lap top and another back up phone in case some of his other stuff breaks down.

 During landing the pilot asks for all electronic devices to be powered down. This takes Steve almost an hour. Secretly I think he landed the plane with his Ipod.  He did a nice job, we only bounced once.

This will be my last entry before we hit Brazilian dirt. We're facing a 10 hour flight to Sao Paulo and then another 3.5 to Recife. Until then! Blessings.......
